Legendary grunge rock group Soundgarden announced the second leg of their North American Tour on Monday (Feb. 25), and in that includes a show a short drive away from East Texas.

Chris Cornell, Matt Cameron and the rest of the gang will play at Palladium Ballroom in Dallas on May 26 as part of three stops in Texas. This will be Soundgarden's first show in the Metroplex since playing at the Verizon Theatre in Grand Prairie in October of 2011.

Cornell's powerful voice will resonate well in Palladium, which only holds 2,600 standing-room-only spots. It will make for an intimate performance with Soundgarden -- but it also means tickets are going to sell fast.

The show will be further promotion of Soundgarden's new album, "King Animal," but you know they're going to bring out some of the old stuff, too.

In the meantime enjoy some of my favorite Soundgarden tunes. See y'all May 26!
