When Six Flags Fiesta Texas opened their gates in 1992, the park had one roller coaster, The Rattler.  After millions of riders throughout its 20 year history, The Rattler will give thrill seekers their last ride on its nearly mile long track on August 5th.

The Rattler is in the parks Crackaxle Canyon section and made its debut in 1992 and is a wooden coaster that reaches speed of 65 mph and takes thrill seekers on a ride of their life for around 2 minutes and 26 seconds.

Park officials announced Monday the last riders would be Sunday, August 5th but no other information was released on whether the ride would undergo an overhaul, similar to what Six Flags Over Texas did to their signature wooden coaster The Texas Giant a year ago, or if the ride would be disassembled and replaced with a new ride.

Thanks to YouTube you can ride The Rattler right now!

You can also ride The Texas Giant at Six Flags Over Texas before and after its overhaul and after too!  It’s much smoother now!
