Showing Off My Dog Buddy on National Pet Day

Today, April 11, is National Pet Day. So, what am I gonna do? Show off my old man Buddy. He is a black lab about 13 years old.

I don't know his exact age because he was dumped and I took him in. The vet guessed he was about 6 months old when I first got him.

I had never owned a dog before. Growing up, our family always had a cat. So this was a whole new experience for me.

Luckily, I worked with a gentlemen who knew how to train dogs and gave me some pointers to turn him into the great dog he is today.

Well, I say great, little punk likes to take over the couch like it's his. Nope. He's gotta scoot over. Goofy butt.

Buddy has been the true definition of man's best friend. He makes me laugh on a daily basis, he wants my food and loves to snuggle up close when we're just being lazy.

I do consider him my son since I don't have any kids of my own and, being single, I'm never alone.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you Buddy "The Wonder Dog".
