Seether‘s first-ever Rise Above Fest is just a few weeks away and the band could use your help. The group is looking for a few enterprising fans to shoot a promo spot talking about teen suicide prevention.

They state, “As awareness and prevention of teen suicide will be the focus of the festival, we are calling out to our Seether fans who have either personally gone through these struggles, or have had family/friends who have, submit a short 10-30-second video with your experience and what helped you get through it. We want to hear your story and have you help others Rise Above. If you would like to contribute, please reach out to riseabovefest@gmail.com and we will contact you with more details.”

The group hopes to take the submitted footage and use it as a video presentation to help spread the awareness of teen suicide.

And, if you don’t have an artistic bone in your body, there’s still ways in which you can help. The group just announced their online auction in association with the Rise Above Fest. The auction is currently underway and runs through Sept. 10, with a live event as part of the auction taking part at the Rise Above Fest in Gilford, N.H. Sept. 3 that will help raise funds for treating the mentally ill.

Autographed items from Green Day, Kid Rock, Nickelback, Daughtry, and more are available here, with all proceeds assisting the N.H. Chapter of National Alliance for the Mentally Ill. For more Rise Above Festival info, including ticketing, check here.
