After a 10-0 victory over the  hosting team yesterday and a 10-5 win over the Latin team from Aruba in the semi finals this morning, our boys from East Texas have secured a spot in the Senior League World Series Championship game tomorrow afternoon.

With a 5-0 record in pool play, the Rose Capital East Senior League Team will not only be representing East Texas, but the United States in the championship game  in Bangor, Maine. It isn’t very often that a bunch of 15-17 year old boys from a rinky dink East Texas town makes national headlines and are broadcast not only across the country, but the world as well. The boys are so proud and excited to be representing East Texas and the United States in this way.

“We are so excited to be playing in the championship game,” says utility infielder William Finley, “To finally see all of our hard work pay off and play in this game is such an honor. We’re focused and ready to play our hardest tomorrow and bring the championship back home to East Texas”

The teams competitor for the final game will not be determined until later on this evening. The game is going to be broadcast at 1 p.m. CST on ESPNU. Be sure to tune in and watch our boys play their hearts out and support them as they bring the title of Senior League World Series Champions back to East Texas. Good luck boys!
