Following yesterday’s Darth Vader-heavy trailer, Lucasfilm has released another international trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. As an added bonus, there’s also a new TV spot, both of which offer some previously unseen footage from the upcoming spinoff / prequel story — along with some much-needed optimism for the end of this stressful week.

Turns out Rogue One might be more relevant than we previously thought, with its timely story of a scrappy group of rebels banding together to defy a fascist leader. Although there’s not much in the way of new footage in the latest international trailer and TV spot, we do get a few more character moments (Donnie Yen and Wen Jiang have a fun interaction) and some more glimpses at the Death Star — which has become the New York of the Star Wars franchise; it’s almost like another character!

Here’s that TV spot:

From Lucasfilm comes the first of the Star Wars standalone films, “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” an all-new epic adventure. In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story also stars Felicity Jones, Mads Mikkelsen, Riz Ahmed, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Alan Tudyk and Forest Whitaker, and hits theaters on December 16.
