On this day in 1965, Alan Freed, the father of "Rock n Roll" dies.
Alan Freed was an American disc jockey who came up with the name "Rock N Roll." He was known for promoting this style of music. His career came to an end when he got caught up in a payola scandal. I wonder what we would call Rock Music of Alan hadn't come up with Rock N Roll. Do you think someone else would have come up with the same name?
