Millions of birds called starlings migrate through Rome on their way to Africa.

During their flight through the countryside of Italy, these birds binge on olives, which makes their poop, for lack of a better term, messy.

While stopped in Rome, they leave their prizes on trees, and combined with recent heavy rain and fallen leaves, it turned several streets into a slimy, slippery mess, causing car and motorcycle accidents.

Authorities usually broadcast the sound of starlings in distress to stop the birds from gathering but due to budget cuts, they could not this year.

Streets had to be closed so city workers could clean the streets.
