Red Hot Chili Peppers are digging deeper into The Getaway album with a new video for their latest single, "Sick Love." The clip is an animated one directed and illustrated by Beth Jeans Houghton.

In the video, we view what at best might be considered a dysfunctional relationship as a girl gets more and more engrossed in her environment and eventually devours her lover, an animated version of Chili Peppers singer Anthony Kiedis. Each of the Chili Peppers members appear in the clip in animated form at one point or another, though really not being the central character of the piece. Watch the clip play out in the video above.

As stated, "Sick Love" is featured on the Chili Peppers album The Getaway. The album has already yielded the monster hit single "Dark Necessities," as well as the current single "Go Robot" and the preview tracks "We Turn Red" and the title cut.

Red Hot Chili Peppers are finishing out the year with dates in Europe, but will spend a good portion of the first half of 2017 in North America. Check the button at the bottom of this post to see their updated North American tour schedule.
