Last night the Texas Rangers took it to the Tampa Bay Rays - winning game 3 of the ALDS series by a score of 4-3.  Today the Rangers can put the Rays away for good for the second year in a row.  Game 4 of the ALDS from Tropicana Field in Tampa Bay is set for a 1pm today. More after the jump.

The Rangers are now up two games to one in the ALDS best of five series. Winning game 4 tonight would mean the Rangers beat the Rays for the 2nd year in a row for the division series.  If, for some reason, the Rangers lose tonight, game 5 would be played back in Texas on Thursday night.

On the mound for the Rangers today will be Matt Harrison who pitched a third of an inning in relief during game 1 last Friday night. He hasn't started a game against the Rays since 2008, but he's much improved since then.

The Rays will start rookie pitcher Jeremy Hellickson in today's game 4.  Hellickson will be making his postseason debut today, but he says he's been treating the last several games of the regular season as playoff starts.  He says he's ready and the last 8 games he's pitched has proved that.  In those 8 games he's allowed only 3 runs.

The Rangers have their work cut out for them, but I feel good about this one. I just hope Kinsler, Cruz, Hamilton, and Napoli have their boom sticks in hand for this early afternoon game.  By the way, I have tickets for game 5 Thursday night in Arlington.  I would love to see the boys win the series at home, but I would rather them just finish the job tonight.  The game will be broadcast on TBS again today.
