PATH's annual Coats for Kids drive started October 1st and continues until the 31st.  Each October PATH holds this special drive to collect winter coats for children ages infant through 18 years old.  PATH is hoping to collect 2,000 coats for distribution in November.  More after the jump.

New coat donations can be taken to the PATH office, 402 W. Front St., Tyler. Gently-used winter coats may be taken to any participating dry cleaners displaying the "Coats for Kids" collection site poster including Dry Clean Super Center, Eagle Cleaners, Hart’s Cleaners, VIP Cleaners, Lucky’s Cleaners, Regency Cleaners, Shannon’s Cleaners, The Cleaning Company, West Gentry Dry Cleaners and Lindale Cleaners.

Some people don't know, but many children living in poverty sleep with their coats on because they do not have heating in their homes or cannot afford the electricity or gas to keep their homes warm. Your donation of a coat can help keep children safe and warm this winter. You can also donate $25 to go towards purchasing a new coat. Because PATH is a non-profit, they are able to purchase quality, warm winter coats with your monetary donations. A new endeavor this year, www.helpFund.it/path allows PATH supporters to easily make an online monetary donation. You may also make a monetary donation on the PATH website - pathhelps.org.

Coats will be distributed on Saturday, November 19th from 8am-2pm and Sunday, November 20th from 1pm-4pm at 2235 W. Gentry Parkway in Tyler.
