A new case from Lifeproof for the iPhone 4S offers an extreme amount of resistance to drops, scuffs and scrapes and can even prevent total meltdown if the phone is dropped in water.

The new case is actually the second generation design of Lifeproof’s damage resistant cases. The manufacturer says it can withstand water at a depth of up to 2 meters (it even comes with a set of waterproof headphones), drops from heights of up to 6.6 feet and guarantees full sealing to protect the phone from dust and other unwanted elements. The newer model also offers an extra layer of bumpers around the phone’s edges to give extra protection to the silencer switch and volume buttons.

Every guy with a case of the “butterfingers” over open toilet bowls is building a worship alter to the Lifeproof gods as we speak.
