He doesn’t talk to the press about Kurt Cobain very often, but Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl told NME that he owes everything to the late singer and Nirvana bass player Krist Novoselic. Grohl said he needed to “find his own territory” but owed it all to Nirvana. Many speculate that the song “I Should Have Known,” off the new Foo Fighters album, is about Cobain and issues Grohl still struggles with after his death.
