In what seems like a marriage made in rock ‘n’ roll heaven, last night Motley Crue announced their upcoming residency at the Joint at Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas for 12 shows, Feb. 3-19, 2012.

While the band is keeping tight-lipped about the specific details of the show, drummer Tommy Lee checked in with Loudwire this morning (Dec. 2) to give fans an idea of what to expect, and he started off with these words of advice: “People should lose all pre-conceptions; we’ve set out to make something that no one has ever seen or participated in.”

The Motley Crue Vegas experience promises surprises around every corner and although Tommy wouldn’t go into much detail, he did say, “This is not the same old s–t you’ve seen 100 times, we’re in Vegas and it’s going to be mind-blowing and different, that’s our job.” He continued with, “If we were to bring something that everyone has seen before, then we’ve failed miserably. “

Motley Crue, known for their over the top theatrics on the road, are excited about the opportunity to take root at the Joint and call it home for awhile. And by the way, don’t ask who’s opening because Tommy will quickly tell you, “There are no openers, this is going to be an insane evening with Motley. You won’t even think about an opener when we’re done with you, it’s like that.”

A pre-sale (with the password SIN13) has already started, so grab your tickets now before they’re gone.

Motley Crue will be on CNN’s ‘Piers Morgan Tonight’ for a full hour in-depth interview tonight (Dec. 2) at 9PM ET. Check back with Loudwire next week for our full interview with Tommy Lee.
