Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx famously said in 2004 that he “will not play with f***ing Poison,” and yet, this summer he’ll embark on a tour with them.  So why the change of heart?  The rocker explained on his radio show that he originally didn’t want to because Motley Crue were “sort of punk/heavy metal/glam” and just wanted to separate themselves from the bands that came after them, but that there was no animosity between them and Poison.  Now, since the New York Dolls signed on for the upcoming tour, Crue thought it was “the right time” to also involve Poison.
