Metallica are tantalizing fans with a new video clip that promises a big announcement from the band this coming Tuesday, Feb. 7, at 11AM PT. What can it be? Another collaborative album with Lou Reed? We don’t think so! Whatever it is, it seems to be geared toward a big concert announcement.

The 34-second ‘Save the Date’ video clip shows a crowd cheering at a rock concert followed by the words “You’ve seen them at festivals across the world.” We then see the names of just about every big music festival around, followed by the cryptic phrase “But you’ve never seen them…”

It should be noted that at the end of Metallica’s fourth and final 30th anniversary gig in San Francisco in December, drummer Lars Ulrich took the mic and made the following announcement: “Put a big f—in’ pair of red ‘X’s’ in the calendar for June 23 and 24 on the East Coast of America, because you know what where gonna do, baby, we’re gonna take this thing f—in’ into a big ass f—in’ place.’

Looks like it could be a Metallica-headlined monster rock festival! What do you think? Stay tuned for the big announcement on Feb. 7. In the meantime, watch the teaser clip below.
