Man Robs Two Banks Before Turning Himself in Due to ‘Stress’
Police say William Kane robbed a bank on Wednesday. Then, he did the same thing on Thursday. Friday morning, he was about to rob a third bank, when he suddenly called 911.
Why? Get this.
The 51-year-old robber said he was stressed out and tired.
"He told dispatchers he wanted to go back to rehab," said St. Petersburg police spokesman Mike Puetz, who said Kane was a crack addict. "He'd fallen off the wagon."
He also told the officers at the Wells Fargo Bank that was it, that he was depressed and suicidal. The Police said Kane admitted to robbing St. Petersburg's First Bank on Wednesday and then robbing the Chase Bank on Thursday.
His laziness cost two counts of robbery with a deadly weapon and being held for $100,000 bail.
