For the past 30 years Longview ISD has honored veterans and active military members with a special ceremony and the tradition will continue Saturday evening with a special event at Lobo Stadium. The event will feature marching band along with a fireworks show.

Longview ISD Superintendent Dr. Wilcox says, “We love our veterans and this is our way of honoring them for their service to our country. It’s one of the most entertaining events of the year. Our students do such a great job.” (press release)

Students from Forest Park, Foster and Judson Middle School and Longview High School marching bands will perform at the event Saturday night at Lobo Stadium. The event begins at 7p and tickets are just $2 with veterans, active military members and Boy/Girl/Cub Scouts attending for free.

Also, catch a special performance from the Longview Viewettes during Honor America Night at Lobo Stadium. The celebration will wrap up with a massive fireworks display (weather permitting).
