Hollywood Brings 1980s Favorites Back to the Big Screen

Have you seen how many '80s remakes are in the works right now? Is Hollywood out of ideas or what?! Maybe they've just realized how many of us loved movies in the '80s and still crave them.

Not to mention all the great one-liners that came from movies in that decade! Maybe the remakes will help us re-commit those movie lines to memory.

Know what movie this was? "Louie brought his new girlfriend over, and the nicest thing I can say about her is all her tattoos are spelled correctly."

I do love Steel Magnolias! but I'm a girl and I think it's a girl thing. That movie first came out in 1989 and they released a remake in 2012.

What else is in the works?

Yahoo News says "The Hangover" star Ed Helms will play Leslie Nielsen's part of Frank Drebin in a new" Naked Gun" movie.

Other remakes in the works include "Romancing the Stone," "Poltergeist," "The Odd Couple," "Scarface," and "Dirty Dancing."

"Nobody puts Baby in a corner!"  Anyone remember Baby's real name on "Dirty Dancing?"

Yes ... Frances. Seeing it 15 times has paid off.

Now, let's hope that Hollywood does these movies justice and makes them killer flicks so our kids will like them as much as we did.
