Joe Avezzano, former Dallas Cowboys special teams coach, died today at the age of 68. He was reportedly running on a treadmill when he suffered a heart attack.

Avezzano was the special teams coach for the Cowboys from 1990 through 2002 where he won three Super Bowl rings. He was also named the NFL's special teams coach of the year three times during that time, but wasn't retained when Bill Parcells took over as coach in 2003.
