Football Playoffs: 2 East Texas High Schools In Finals

Five teams went into the semis, but only Mineola & Carthage came out still alive.  

The Yellowjackets ran away from Wall in a 50-8 romp, advancing to the Class 3A Division 1 state championship game.  It was a much tougher fight for the Bulldogs, who needed 3 overtimes to finally put away China Spring, 26-20.  They'll move on to the state title contest in Class 4A Division 1.

Tough losses ended this season's championship dreams for Arp, Malakoff, & Gilmer.
