The Glass Recreation Center, in partnership with Texas Parks and Wildlife, will host a Family Fun Fishing Tournament on Saturday, Oct. 1 from 9 a.m. to noon at Woldert Park located at 501 W. 32nd St.

Individuals of all ages can come out for a morning of fishing fun! The Texas Wildlife and Fisheries will conduct a clinic on fishing prior to the start of the tournament. A fishing license is not required for this event.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own rods and bait. Limited equipment will be available on-site. As the tournament is open to all experience levels, this will be a great opportunity for those who want to learn the basics of fishing.

Although pre-registration is not required, it is encouraged. Those who pre-register will receive a goody bag. Attendees can enter a drawing for door prizes. All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

This event is free to the public. For more information, please call the Glass Recreation Center at 903-595-7271 or visit the Tyler Parks and Recreation website.
