Come spring and summertime, Texas becomes incredibly vibrant with music and food festivals, beautiful scenery courtesy of our landscape and oh... did we mention food!?

A couple weeks back I realized I missed the Tatum Pecan Pie Festival and I had to go buy a few from Brookshire's to make myself feel better. Well, that's not going to happen again because I found a list of all the East Texas festivals and fairs this year from east-texas.com and have put those days on my calendar. We have a few coming up in June so make sure you take note.

It looks like there are 29 festivals/fairs in East Texas left in 2017. If we missed one, please let us know and we'll add it to the list!

Maybe even save this post for the rest of the year's festivals to come. This list is in chronological order. Click the event for more information.

This year marks the 40th of the Great Texas Balloon Race. In 2013, Gregg County was proclaimed "The Balloon Race Capital of the World", so you know this festival will not let you down (get it!?). Live concerts, the Balloon Glow, Kids Land and tons of vendors are just part of what this big event has to offer.
