East Texas high school football teams have fought and fought hard this season and the road to state is getting more narrow each week. Bi-district play kicks off this week across the state and several East Texas teams are still in the hunt for the state title and trophy with a few teams still having a perfect record on the season.

Texas High is 10 and 0 on the season so far, along with Malakoff, Elysian Fields and Tenaha. A handful of teams have nearly perfect records of being 9 and 1 on the season - John Tyler, Van, Henderson, Gilmer, White Oak, Farmersville, Woodille, Crockett, Carlisle and Groveton. There are going to be some hard fought games under the lights Friday night! In the case of Van, they're under the lights Thursday night along with Gilmer and a few others while Whitehouse takes the field Saturday afternoon.

You can keep up with the Whitehouse Wildcats game Saturday afternoon on Classic Rock 96-1 with play-by-play action being called by Brian Houston and Larry Krantz. You can keep up with the live scoreboard and more on all the games with the ETSN.fm mobile app. Just download ETSN from your devices app store and you'll have the power of ETSN in the palm of your hand!
