The Downtown Tyler Film Festival opens at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 27. at Liberty Hall.

See films made all over the world and from right here in East Texas, too. Each night, doors will open at 6 p.m. with a pre-screening reception. Viewing beginning at 7 p.m. Here's the line up:

  • Wednesday, Sept. 27 - Where in the World, featuring films made outside of the Texas and America
  • Thursday, Sept. 28 - The Young, features films by young filmmakers under the age of 18, and other projects as well
  • Friday, Sept. 29 - Texas Originals, films by Texas Filmmakers
  • Saturday, Sept. 30 - The Best of the Fest

“Our film festival has grown into an international event, attracting films from Tyler, throughout Texas, across the U.S. and around the world,” said Tara Holley Jones, festival director. “The entry process has become very competitive, and the quality of the entries is truly exceptional.”

Following each night of viewing, a question and answer session will take place with the filmmakers in attendance.

Tickets are $5 Wednesday through Friday, and $15 on Saturday. They are available at TylerFilmFest.com or at the door.
