Tonight Survivor's 37th Season premieres, and this time with a local contestant.

This season will see two teams face off, David versus Goliath, and Longview's own Elizabeth Olson is a member of the David Tribe.

"I dreamed from the time I was a little kid, the first time I ever saw an episode of ‘Survivor,’ “ Olson told the Longview News-Journal. “I literally knew in my bones, ‘Oh my gosh. I’m going to do this one day.’ I love competition. I love adventure, and I don’t really care about the limelight or about the fame at all, not at all. I knew I could beat everybody. I knew I was smart enough."

She's been pursuing a shot on the show for the past two years, and strengthening her body and mind for the opportunity. Watching survival YouTube videos to learn new skills and memorizing scripture.

“You know it’s going to be hard... I knew I wasn’t going to have my Bible,” Olson said, knowing she would need the world of God to give her strength during the experience. “You don’t really have anybody that’s on your side,” she said.

Filming took place from March 29 - May 6 in the Mamanuca Islands, Fiji. The season premiere is tonight, Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 7 pm CT on CBS.

About Survivor
The Emmy Award-winning series returns this fall for its 37th season, themed "David vs. Goliath." This edition features 20 new castaways divided into two groups of 10 strangers. Castaways who make up the "David" tribe have overcome adversity in their lives, while the castaways on the "Goliath" tribe tend to capitalize on their individual advantages and use it against their opponents. This extreme game of social politics will focus on the "underdogs" versus the "favorites" and reveal that every "Goliath" has an Achilles heel, while every "David" has a secret weapon. These castaways will be forced to compete against each other with the same ultimate goal: to outwit, outplay and outlast each other in an attempt to become the Sole Survivor. The show returns to the Mamanuca Islands in Fiji, with Emmy Award winner Jeff Probst as host.
