David Lee Roth Talks ‘Tattoo’ and Tattoos [VIDEO, CONTEST]

Earlier this month, Van Halen released the first new single with frontman David Lee Roth in 27 years. It's a song called "Tattoo" from their upcoming album, "A Different Kind of Truth." That album is due out Feb. 7.

In a recent video interview, Roth said he believes fans will identify with the lyrics of the single because tattoos are a universal experience.

In the video, Roth also talks about the important part of the process of getting a tattoo -- and experiencing the pain of the needle:

You best believe that needle hurts you and depending on where you get it, whoa, that is a rite of passage and it should, 'cause it really forces you to consider what's permanent.
