Bald Men Rejoice! A Cure Could Be on Its Way
If you are a bald guy like myself, it is time to rejoice. There are a lot of pharmaceutical firms talking on making a new product that has found a way to start hair growth by stopping the effects of a single enzyme.U.S.-based dermatologists announced earlier this year they found this enzyme called PGD2 that tells your follicles to stop making hair. This product has been used in asthma patients, and doctors have been happy to see that men with baldness had very high levels of this enzyme in those spots.
And they say with this new topical lotion, it will stop this enzyme to regrow the full head of hair and stopping the loss all together. Scientists believe the cure could be on store shelves in two years.
Des Torbin, director of the center for skin sciences at Bradford University, said this is huge and a large step in male baldness.
