The Cult's guitarist, Billy Duffy, revealed in a new interview that his band will be opening for Guns N' Roses when the reunited GNR play some overseas shows. The big news here is that apparently the reunited GNR will be playing more concerts than just the previously announced North American dates.

In an interview with Vanyaland, Duffy said that the Cult will be touring with the reconfigured Guns N' Roses lineup, which now stands at singer Axl Rose, guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan. “I believe we will be playing with them at a couple of shows that are not in the United States — I think I can say that — I believe,” said Duffy. “I just found out.”

Guns N’ Roses will kick off the first batch of North American dates next week, when they open Las Vegas’ new T-Mobile Arena on April 8 and 9, with Alice in Chains supporting. After that, the band will play the Coachella music festival in Indio, Calif., on April 16 and April 23, with a pair of shows in Mexico City on April 19 and 20 in between.

Last week, GNR announced more than 20 U.S. stops, including stops in Chicago, Nashville, New York and San Francisco. Venues, dates and ticket information for these concerts still haven't been revealed. Meanwhile, rumors have surrounded these reunion shows for months now. Everything from complete band lineup to the scope of the tour has been debated. The latest talk has Guns N' Roses playing a warm-up gig at Los Angeles' Whisky a Go-Go tomorrow night (April 1).
