Legendary heavy metal/sludge act Corrosion of Conformity have just announced official dates for a U.S. headlining tour. The North Carolina metal stalwarts will hit the road in March taking Torche, Valient Thorr and A Storm of Light along to open for the band.

“We think the lineup on this tour is really compatible without every band doing the same thing,” says C.O.C. singer-bassist Mike Dean. “We’re really proud to be on this bill and touring on a new album.”

Corrosion of Conformity came back from a four-year hiatus in 2010 and have been working on their newest full-length since 2005. The self-titled album is set for release on Feb. 28 through Candlelight Records.

As a precursor to the tour, Corrosion of Conformity will be playing a single show in their home state on Jan. 22 with Hail!Hornet in Asheville, N.C. The show is set to coincide with a screening of Slow Southern Steel, the highly anticipated documentary about Southern metal. Produced by Rwake vocalist, CT, the film will include acts such as Kylesa, Eyehategod and Hank III.
