Solid Waste
The Tyler Solid Waste office and the Tyler Recycle Center will be closed on Monday, Sept. 5. The collection schedule is as follows:

Tuesday, Sept. 6: NO COLLECTION
Wednesday, Sept. 7: NO COLLECTION
Thursday, Sept. 8: Regular Garbage Collection

Holiday Curbside Recycle Collection
Monday, Sept. 5: NO COLLECTION
Tuesday, Sept. 6: Recycle Routes normally scheduled for collection this Monday and Tuesday.
Wednesday, Sept. 7: NO COLLECTION
Thursday, Sept. 8: Regular Recycle Collection
Friday, Sept. 9: Regular Recycle Collection

Yard waste of any kind including brush, tree limbs or bags of leaves will NOT be picked up during the holiday week. Only household garbage will be picked up. To reduce the chance of animals or weather scattering trash, please do not set garbage carts out before 6 p.m. on the day before the scheduled collection day. Per Sec. 16-4 ordinance, garbage carts must be removed by 7 a.m. the morning after the scheduled collection day.

Tyler Pounds Regional Airport
Tyler Pounds Regional Airport Terminal will open at 5 a.m. and close at 10:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 5.

Please note that the administrative offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 5.

The Tyler Public Library will be closed Sunday, Sept. 4 and Monday, Sept. 5. The Library will reopen as regularly scheduled on Tuesday, Sept. 6 at 10 a.m. TylerLibrary.com.

Tyler Transit Schedule
Tyler Transit and Paratransit will be closed on Monday, Sept. 5.

The Cotton Belt Train Museum will be closed on Monday, Sept. 5.

Municipal Court
The Municipal Court will be closed on Monday, Sept. 5.

Gallery Main Street
Gallery Main Street will be closed on Monday, Sept. 5.

Tyler Parks and Recreation
The Tyler Parks and Recreation administrative offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 5. TylerParksandRec.com

The Senior Center will be closed on Monday, Sept. 5. The Center will reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 6 at 8 a.m.

The Glass Recreation Center will be closed on Monday, Sept. 5. The Glass will reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 6 at 7 a.m.

The Goodman-LeGrand Museum will be closed on Monday, Sept. 5.

The Rose Garden Center will be closed on Monday, Sept. 5.

The Rose Garden is open from dawn to dusk seven days a week and will remain open throughout the holiday weekend.

Tyler Water Utilities
The Water Business Office will be closed on Monday, Sept. 5, for the Labor Day holiday. Due to technical difficulties, the drive through that features a 24-hour payment kiosk has not opened as expected and will not be open in time for the holiday weekend. The City of Tyler’s Water Business Office apologizes for the inconvenience this is causing its customers.

Anyone wishing to make a payment may use one of two available drop boxes. One box is located in front of the Water Business Office at 511 W. Locust St. The other is a drive-up box located in the Brookshire's parking lot on the corner of South Broadway Avenue and Rice Road. Payments will be credited on the next business day. Please do not drop cash into these boxes.

Payments may also be made online at CityofTyler.org, over the phone by calling 903-531-1230 or at one of many businesses in Tyler that accept water utility payments. For a list of participating businesses, please visit the City’s website.
