A special place in the heart of Tyler that honors all East Texas children, The Children's Park offers solace to families who have lost a child and provides a peaceful setting to honor the memory of those precious lives. With its beloved teddy bears, quiet spaces, and play areas, it is a natural place for joy. It is also a place to reflect, to heal, and to be in fellowship with others--especially during the holidays.

The Children's Park, at 110 East Dobbs in Tyler, has become a signature venue to gather and celebrate the season with their “Christmas in the Park.” After having so many families visit over the past few years, the 16th annual “Christmas in the Park” has added extra evenings and events in a magical setting around the 25 foot Christmas tree. The events still to come include:

Story Time & Christmas Carols Friday, December 7, 2018 6 - 8 p.m. The traditional “Christmas in the Park” celebration singing Christmas carols and listening to a story read around the brightly lit tree. The signature Snowman Soup will also be served.

An Enchanted Evening with Santa Friday, December 21st, 6 - 8 p.m. Giving is a part of Christmas. Children are invited to bring a plastic jar of peanut butter for Santa to share with others through the East Texas Food Bank. While visiting with Santa, you may also enjoy signature Snowman Soup & roasting marshmallows over an open fire for s’mores.
