We still don’t know exactly who will be filling Harrison Ford’s iconic shoes in the role of young Han Solo, and it may still be a while before Lucasfilm makes the casting official. Directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller are currently in pre-production on the untitled spinoff, and to celebrate Star Wars Day, Miller has shared an image teasing a very familiar-looking sidekick.

No, it’s not Chewbacca, but it’s something that also never leaves Han’s side: his blaster.

The latest word on the untitled Han Solo project is that the long, long list of potential stars has been whittled down, with Hail, Caesar! star Alden Ehrenreich emerging as frontrunner for the title role. The actor’s name was on a shortlist alongside Kingsman: The Secret Service star Taron Egerton and Sing Street’s Jack Reynor, but a recent report suggests that Ehrenreich’s screen tests left the biggest impression of the bunch.

Lord and Miller are directing the young Han Solo movie from a script by Star Wars vet Lawrence Kasdan — who revealed not too long ago that the untitled spinoff will be his final Star Wars project. Little else is known about the film, though we do know that Han Solo’s BFF Chewbacca will appear (obviously), and that it’s set to hit theaters on May 25, 2018.
