Red Hot Chili Peppers are close to finishing their new album. Singer Anthony Kiedis tells Spin that they have a working title for the record, Dr. Johnny Skinz’s Disproportionately Rambunctious Polar Express Machine-head, which he says was inspired by a friend’s acid trip back in the day. Kiedis isn’t sure if the album title will stick, but for now that’s their loving nickname. Kiedis also says that the album has a new dynamic since John Frusciante left the group. Rick Rubin is producing the record, but no word yet as to when we’ll hear it.
