Child Gets Suspended for Hello Kitty Bubble ‘Gun’ + School Calls Her a Terrorist Threat [VIDEO]

With all of the school shootings and gun violence lately, Americans are taking guns very seriously. While it is a good thing that people and schools are starting to pay much more attention to gun violence, there is a line that needs to be drawn. Maybe the story of this kindergartener will help shine a light on that line.

A kindergartener from Mt. Caramel, PA was suspended for bringing a weapon to school. Except it wasn't really a weapon, it was a Hello Kitty automatic bubble blower. When she suggested that her and another student "shoot bubbles at each other", thats when administration stepped in, deeming her a terrorist threat. The kicker? The family's attorney, Robin Ficker, said that the girl didn't even have the toy at school with her.

The school suspended the young girl for 10 days and ordered her to undergo psychological evaluation during her suspension. The evaluation showed nothing out of the ordinary and showed she was not a threat. While the suspension was marked down to only two days, the mother of the child will not take her child back. She has tried to put her into other schools, but they won't accept her due to having this on her record.

A spokesperson from Mount Carmel Area School District told ABC News, "We are confident that much of the information supplied to the media may not be consistent with the facts… The Mount Carmel Area School District takes the well-being and safety of students and staff very seriously."
