A really cool event is coming back to Lake Palestine for its second year. It’s called an “Adaptive Aquafest” and it gives children and adults with disabilities the chance to experience water skiing. If you're looking for something cool to do with the kids before they head back to school next week - here is a cool event that is educational as well! The 'Wings of Freedom Tour' is coming to Tyler's Pounds Field Airport this weekend. The event is hosted by the Historic Aviation Memorial Museum. Several vintage aircraft will be on display including the P-51 Mustang (Betty Jane), the B-17 Flying Fortress (Nine-O-Nine), and the B-24 Liberator (Witchcraft). Making its debut in Tyler will be the Messerschmitt Me-262 (White 1) accompanied by the UH-1E Huey helicopter.
