Tyler native Matt Flynn had yet another letdown as he was released by the Buffalo Bills earlier today.

After leaving Green Bay in 2011, Flynn signed a deal with the Seattle Seahawks as a starter for the 2012 season only to get beat out by Russell Wilson.

The Oakland Raiders picked up Flynn in the offseason with hopes of another chance to start, but he lost his job to Terrell Pryor.

Flynn signed with the Bills a little over a month ago with hopes of replacing No.1 draft pick E.J. Manuel, who was hurt several weeks ago.

Manuel is set to return this week and with two other quarterbacks on the depth chart, Flynn is out and did not play in any games for Bills.

Flynn is a 2004 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler.
