Axl Rose has hammered another nail in the Guns N’ Roses original lineup coffin. The singer was photographed exiting the famed Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles last night (April 6) with pop music up ‘n comer Lana Del Rey when he delivered a one-sentence declaration about playing with his former bandmates.

While the possible budding friendship or collaboration between the two singers is a whole other story in and of itself, as Rose, 50, is twice Del Rey’s age and she does slightly resemble his ex-wife Erin Everly, reporters hanging outside of the location managed to ask (and get an answer) from Rose while the paparazzi bulbs flashed away. When someone asked “Any chance of you guys doing a reunion tour with full lineup in the future?,” Rose replied, without hesitation, “Not in this lifetime.” He closed the car door and that was the end of that.

While the question posed was about a reunion tour, and not about next week’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction, things aren’t looking good for the original members of GN’R getting on stage together any time soon or even at all.

One “reporter” asking questions at the scene also said that Axl looked great and that the band is getting rave reviews. The compliments weren’t enough to get him say anything further.

Even though Axl’s statements seem rather definitive, and Slash recently revealed that Rose hates his guts, there’s one thing hard rock and GN’R fans can hold onto: hope.
