Remember video games like ‘Donkey Kong’ and ‘Pac Man’ from years ago that used 8-bit sound? Well, 8-bit technology has kind of come back in style over the last couple of years, and some enterprising fans are capitalizing off of it by reworking some of your favorite albums, including Nine Inch Nails‘ ‘Pretty Hate Machine.’
Three Days Grace have done a solid job building the suspense about their next album, ‘Transit of Venus.’ The front page of their website recently re-launched, borrowing a quote from Oliver Wendell Holmes, who explains, “A black round spot – and that is all; Such a speck our earth would be if he who looks upon the stars through the red atmosphere of Mars could see our little creeping ball.”
Papa Roach teased a big announcement earlier this week and delivered the news during a live chat on their website earlier today (June 14). The band revealed that their next album will arrive on Oct. 2.
Lollapalooza 2012 should be quite the music event, and even if you can’t make the festival, so long as you’re in the Chicago area there will be plenty of performances going on to make your August 3 weekend worthwhile.
