Slipknot are currently headlining the Mayhem Festival, their first U.S. shows since the tragic 2010 death of the band’s bassist Paul Gray. In advance of the Mayhem show Friday (July 6) in Arizona, frontman Corey Taylor spoke with the Phoenix New Times about a number of topics, including upcoming albums from Slipknot and Stone Sour.
The ongoing legal saga of Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe had an important development today (July 3); he made bail. Blythe posted the approximately $200,000 bail in Prague, but remains in Czech custody due to statutory deadlines and holidays.
After Van Halen postponed 30 plus shows that were to begin July 7, those shows now apparently won’t be rescheduled and have been officially canceled. Showtime has announced that Marilyn Manson will guest star in season six of ‘Californication.’ The shock rocker will appear as himself, and in the episode will have what is described as an “unforgettable meeting” with David Duchovny’s character Hank Moody.
Filter have expanded their summer tour, adding several new dates (listed below.) The band entered the studio in April with producer Bob Marlette to record their fifth studio album ‘Gurney and the Burning Books.’ It is due to be released sometime later this year.
