Arizona State Denied Request To Wear Black Uniforms Against Arizona

I've never hear of this happening - probably because it never has - last Friday (11/23) the Arizona State Sun Devils were denied their request to wear their black uniforms when they played Arizona. Arizona was the home team and apparently the home team gets to approve or reject the visiting team's uniforms - who knew?

The game was going to be broadcast nationally on ESPN and both teams wanted to look their best while playing on the big stage. Arizona chose to wear all red and ASU wanted to wear what they though was their best looking uniform - the black one.

ASU had to ask permission to wear the uniform because the home team gets to approve it or not. They were flat out denied. A first for the Pac-12!

ASU ended up getting the last laugh - beating Arizona 41-34
