New York Yankees Pitcher Andy Pettitte is Set to Retire at End of Season

It's been an interesting year for the New York Yankees. Only a little over a week after losing Derek Jeter for the rest of the 2013 campaign, pitcher Andy Pettitte announced his retirement.

Pettitte, who has been a staple in the Yankees organization for years, is set to retire at the end of the season -- this for the second time. He will join legendary closer Mariano Rivera in leaving the Yankees after the season.

Pettitte is 10-10 in 2013 with a 3.93 ERA. He has played all of his 18 years with the Yankees, with the exception of being with the Houston Astros from 2004-2006.

Pettitte has won five World Series titles with the Yanks and has the thrown the most strikeouts in franchise history. All of Yankees nation will miss him.
