On this weekend each year Wittman Field in Oshkosh, Wisc., is the setting for the largest aviation gathering in the United States.  Estimates are that between 10,000 and 15,000 aircraft attend the event with estimated foot traffic between 300,000 and 500,000, from more than 60 countries.

I am a pilot and it is certainly on my bucket list.  Perhaps I'll make it next year.  EAA hosts the event that began in 1953, "arriving at Oshkosh is a rite of passage that can only be satisfied by being one of the more than 10,000 aircraft flying in, landing at what becomes the busiest airport in the world."
