There are several stops in Texas and Louisiana on the road to Hollywood for the new season of American Idol, and we've got all the details.  This could be your big break!

If you're an aspiring singer and you've already got Labor Day Weekend plans, you might want to think twice about heading out of town.

Production crews from American Idol will be in Texas on Monday, September 3rd looking for the next Maddie Poppe (or Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, or Phillip Phillips), and you can register now to let them know you'll be in Plano that day with your best stuff.  Other auditions within driving distance will happen that week too.

American Idol auditions are usually an all-day commitment and the lines can get long, so you'll definitely want to block out the whole day.

Shreveport is one of twenty-four audition sites in the US this time around, through the months of August and September. That's the closest one to us, but there will be other chances to audition in Austin, Houston, and Plano.

Other audition cities include Charleston, West Virginia; Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Seattle, Washington.

Judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie set to return for the new season, and there's no official air date yet for the premiere but it will probably be early 2019.  Now is the time to show off your talent and get to Hollywood.  Good luck!  We'll be watching.
