ALTRA FEDERAL CREDIT UNION SHRED DAY

Altra Federal Credit Union and Ark-La-Tex Shredding are teaming up for a FREE Community Shred Day on Oct. 20 from 10-2 p.m. at 8976 S. Broadway Ave in Tyler (The Villages at Cumberland Park.) You can bring up to two grocery bags of unwanted and sensitive documents to shred onsite, and you don't need to remove staples, rubber bands, or paper clips.

Even better, everyone who participates can register to win a $50 Visa Gift Card.

Altra Federal Credit Union is also encouraging everyone to bring five non-perishable food items to donate to the East Texas Food Bank.

It's a win-win for everyone.

CBS19 SUPER SHREDDER DAYS IN TYLER/LONGVIEW

  • Super Shredder Day in Tyler is Oct. 24 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the CBS19 parking lot located at 2211 ESE Loop 323. Ark-La-Tex Shredding will be onsite to shred your unwanted and sensitive documents. The City of Tyler will also be there to collect small appliances for a $5 disposal fee.
  • Super Shredder Day in Longview is set for Oct. 25 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Austin Bank parking lot at 911 W. Loop 281. Ark-La-Tex Shredding will be onsite to shred your unwanted and sensitive documents. According to CBS19, someone will also be onsite to collect unwanted electronics.

I am thankful these companies recognize the need to offer free shredding services.
