We all know that smoking is very bad for you and that tobacco sales are limited to certain stores and certain ages. These brands though, are being pulled off the market completely.

R.J. Reynolds has been ordered to stop selling four of their brands. The 2009 Tobacco Control Act states that products introduced after Feb. 15, 2007 cannot carry a "greater health risk" than earlier, (predicate) products. According to the federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA):

four Reynolds products, Camel Crush Bold, Pall Mall Deep Set Recessed Filter, Pall Mall Deep Set Recessed Filter Menthol and Vantage Tech 13 cigarettes, have different characteristics from their predicates that raise new health questions.

The FDA also said they will wait 30 days before they begin enforcing the ban to allow retailers ample time to clear their shelves of the now forbidden products.
