15-Year-Old Girl Believed to Have Run Away With Her Teacher
A missing teenager is believed to have run away with her 30-year-old math teacher, causing worry within her school and family while police still attempt to find her.
Megan Stammers, 15, didn't show up for school on Friday and is known to have crossed from Dover to Calais later that day. Police are saying she may be in France with Jeremy Forrest, 30, from the area around East Sussex, who is a math teacher at Megan's school.
Police said they do not believe she is at risk, but they have contacted the French authorities in order to find her. They have circulated the registration number of a black Ford Fiesta that belongs to Forrest and have been examining CCTV images to try to find the teenager's whereabouts.
"We just want Megan to make contact with us," Megan's father, Martin, said. "We are worried and miss her terribly. Please get in touch, Megan."
